Silicon Valley In The Shadow Of Death

ooo, scary!Okay, okay, the title is a just a tiny bit over doing it, but there is no doubt that a lot of Silicon Valley companies are in a world of hurt due to the economic crisis. Om Malik over at GigaOm has a nice post with a summary of a wide variety of companies that are restructuring or laying employees off.

As bad as it sucks that Pandora laid off 20 employees, it at least looks like their basic business model will continue to work as the Webcaster Settlement Act was passed, finally a bit of sanity out of a group which thinks of the internet as a series of tubes (thank you Senator Stevens!).
