Nice, Inexpensive IP USB KVM

Just ran across this really nice looking IP USB KVM from Lantronix called the Spider.Lantronix USB IP KVM IP KVM's are great when you need to get onto a server that is far away and you need to reboot it all times, like say 5 in the morning when you would rather not get out of bed and drive 45 minutes to a clients site :). There have been numerous times where a IP KVM like this would have greatly helped me in a pinch, maybe it can help you. The price is pretty rock solid to, under $300.

It features:

  • No external power supply, power supplied through USB
  • Access the KVM through a browser, no client software needed
  • Video resolution up to 1280x1024
  • Ability to send send event logs via email or SNMP
  • Encrypts all video, mouse and keyboard input
  • Hardware based compression to keep bandwidth usage down
  • Weights a little over 6 oz

I'm pretty pumped for this little guy, going to try and order a few for my work. If I do I'll be sure to post a full review, I just hope it lives up to half of what is advertised! Again, you can pick it up off of Amazon here.
